The Warrior World Cup Boot Collection
As the old adage goes, ‘good things come in threes’ and this week saw Warrior launch exciting updates and striking new colourways to their World Cup trio of Superheat, Skreamer and Gambler football boots.
With so much attention devoted to Nike and adidas recently, the arrival of Warrior’s latest offerings brings a fresh alternative, with a collection of boots to suit all levels of play. Boasting growing support and many top professionals taking to the pitch in Warrior, including World Cup bound Vincent Kompany, then these are certainly exciting times for the American brand tackling the ‘soccer’ market.
Kicking-off proceedings on Monday, Warrior showed why they are a class act by revealing a splendid new look to their speed boot, the Superheat. Presented in a rather soothing white tone, the abundance of gold helps create something rather special to grace the pitch with.
Unlike the other two Warrior releases this week, the latest Superheat model has simply been given new aesthetics and so retains the same great performance features and comfort found in the alternate colourways of fiery red and vision blue. With a huge emphasis on speed and taking inspiration from sprint shoes, the Tri-Fusion bonded skin delivers limitless touch and speed to help it achieve its sleek design.
With a lightweight package, many of the features are subtly incorporated and include a super light Tri-Fusion tongue for fantastic feel along with a membrane Heel Shield delivering unseen support and protection. Even the Slipstream lacing system has been designed for optimum comfort and fit.
With the Warrior Superheat Pro S-Lite coming in at the top end of the collection and the version as sported by the professionals, you can still experience comfort and great play with the Superheat Combat models. Choose from SG, FG and TF footwear to suit all playing surfaces and conditions, as you take to the pitch in style.
Following hot on the heels and the Warrior Skreamer II unleashes power and precision for the player who wants to dominate the pitch. As a second edition, many of the previous signature attributes are retained whilst several new features make their debut to help create an unstoppable force on the field.
One of the defining features of the Skreamer II is the breakthrough micro-injected Arrowhead Vamp which offers rebound technology to help pinpoint the strike zone and allows you to channel raw power with deadly accuracy but without compromising on touch.
Elsewhere and with strength and stability at the core of the design, the new S-Lite upper is constructed from premium microfibre for a soft and supple material which helps dramatically reduce the overall weight whilst also offering a glove-like fit that ensures a better touch and sharper ball control.
One aspect which has been retained and proven successful in previous models is that of the Murderhole Cutouts. Re-designed for the Skreamer II, enhanced comfort around the Achilles is still achieved whilst the Deeplace design brings further comfort to your feet.
Clearly taking inspiration from the World Cup in Brazil this summer, with a bright Blue Infinity/Astro Turf/Laser Blue/Hi Viz design, this look is applied to the whole collection and includes the Warrior Skreamer II Charge boots and trainers. This will also be the look as sported by Belgium’s Vincent Kompany as he takes to the world stage.
Saving the most radical evolution in the Warrior World Cup collection for Friday and the Gambler II brings improved fit, supreme control and optimal traction to their top performance Pro S-Lite models.
Presenting an array of new technologies and features, one of the most defining is that of the more more ergonomic Ace Plate on the instep. Providing an aggressive grip and control, this could help make the difference between you and your opponents. Continuing over the upper and strategically positioned Stacks over the forefoot assist with absorbing ball speed for unrivalled comfort.
Even the inclusion of Warrior’s signature Murderhole Cutouts have not escaped an upgrade as a new design sees further support to the Achilles, a feature not seen in any other football boot. Continuing inside the boot and the no-stitch Royal Flush inner combines with the embossed 4D Carpet for a seamless fit.
As with all the Warrior football boots, they cater for every surface and come in both adults and kids sizes so anyone of any ability and age can sport the powerful Velocity Red/Ignite/Caviar/Metallic Silver design to stand out on the pitch. Expect to see Belgium’s Marouane Fellaini to be taking plenty of chances when lacing up the Gambler II at the World Cup this summer.
